We came here for dinner and drinks - a truly great dining experience! The atmosphere is rustic and fun. The team here was very friendly and helpful.
Though the team mentioned they scaled back their menu due to staffing shortages, the menu still offered a lot of good choices. The jackfruit tacos were a unique menu item that we haven't seen before in this area - and seriously tasty. We also tried the loaded fries with pulled pork which was delicious. For dessert, we had the cast iron cookie, which came out incredibly hot, but a great treat!
The beers were also awesome - we tried the Undercover Mother milkshake IPA as well as the peach vanilla sour. Definitely recommend both.
Even though it's been a tough run for many restaurants lately, MGCB is still going strong! Looking forward to stopping back in the future!
Decent place partnered with Hidden Still. Service was very friendly, food theam : pickles, pretzels pub food...interesting selections for everyone but a tad pricey. Liked the pretzels with beer cheese... Enjoy the mustard better at Hidden Stills... Maybe make it an option?? Beer cheese was delicious... Never change this haha! Lovely warming and welcoming atmosphere. I will go back! It's unique all on its own and not too packed.... Recommend making a quick reservation online though only takes a minute.
I attended a beer class and happy hour afterwards and let me tell you, the knowledge of this team is amazing! Their products sure show it. As someone who doesn't like beer AT ALL- I found one I liked.
Their burgers and fries are awesome as well!
Stopped by for Sunday brunch and was not disappointed! Got a flight of beers (the Kolsch was my favorite!) and the chicken and waffles. The chicken was amazing! Moist inside, crispy outside, even soaked in syrup and covered in butter. Bartender was friendly and attentive. They had live music which was great. Seemed like a lot of regulars who knew each other. Very much a Cheers vibe. Hope to make it back someday soon!
Excellent food and good beer! I feel for restaurants during this pandemic. They were very attentive to cleanliness and sanitation. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We gave them an extra tip. Hard to say what the atmosphere of the place really is during this time. Will certainly be back to check it out again!
This was pretty good, they had a pickle flight in which the Bahn Mi was a delightfully spicy option. The beer was all okay, the sours were definitely sour and the funky farmhouse was more of a sour than a farmhouse ale. The Russian imperial tasted good, but it didn't have that full body flavor typical of the imperial, it was more like your standard porter. The menu was pretty simple, and the food was standard bar food. Our burgers were a bit burnt and overdone, but they did have sweet potato waffle fries which were yummy. Is a bit overpriced for what we did get.
Very cool atmosphere and there was a live band just getting ready to start as we were leaving (didn't know about it or we would have gone a bit later). Found out as we were checking in with the hostess they take and recommend reservations especially on live band nights. Food was good, but nothing special to be honest. We got the pretzel for an appetizer. Not a fan of their house mustard but the cheese was good and the pretzel was a nice treat. Nice and soft inside yet firm outside. Wife and I both had the Corner Burger. Tots and fries were good. Good selection of their own brewed beers. Craft cocktails were different. Wife tried the orange margarita and said she probably wouldn't order it again. We had the cookie skillet for dessert and it definitely needed more ice cream but the cookie was good. Will definitely return
Mount Gretna is a terrific local hangout. There's always a variety of great beers to choose from and the food menu is fantastic. Pictured is their pulled pork and fries.
